Board Chairman

Dr Kwadwo Ayisi-Ahwireng is a product of University of Ghana Medical School where he graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1992. He was also given honors in MB-CHB in the same University.

Dr. Ayisi worked with 37 Military Hospital and Susan Memorial Clinic from 1992 to 2002 as a medical Practitioner. In 2002, Dr. Ayisi established PrimeCare Medical Center and became the Medical Director until today.

He has attended several courses and development programs in Ghana and overseas. Dr. Ayisi likes charity work and reading.

William Ato Essien is a mentor, philanthropist and serial entrepreneur based out of Accra, Ghana. Mr. William Ato Essien is the Founder & President of Essien Swiss International Capital Holdings (ESICH) and founder of the William Ato Essien Foundation, which works towards providing financial support for education and health to the thousands of people in West Africa.

He has held various positions in the financial industry and prior to establishing ESICH, worked as Chief Executive Officer of First Capital Plus Savings & Loans Ltd now First Capital Plus Bank - one of the financial institutions he founded, which is now regarded as the fastest growing bank in Ghana. The other business entities that Mr. Essien founded and is involved in include: ESICH Life Assurance Company Ltd, Ocean Spring Natural Mineral Water, Empire Radio and a Partner Director for Lloyds Brokers Company Limited.

Mr. Essien is an avid motivational speaker,and a deeply spiritual person as he trusts being spiritual gives life a different meaning. He draws his own inspiration from God and believes that leaders should harness the power of the Almighty to deepen their knowledge and to maximize the effectiveness of their activities to serve the society.

In 2011, he was awarded the Global Professional International Achiever Award (GPA) for his humanitarian works and also for transforming First Capital Plus from a small micro-finance company into a financial powerhouse within a period of two years through inspirational leadership and innovation.

In 2012, he was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year – Banking & Finance Category - for the year 2011 by the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation for exhibiting an outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and for his achievements in sustaining economic growth, generating employment and innovation in Ghana. Mr. Essien was among the Finalist for the prestigious award category - Emerging Entrepreneur West Africa, 2012 by Ernst & Young West Africa.

He holds a BSc Degree in Marketing and a number of certificates from the Ghana Stock Exchange. Mr. Essien is regarded as a youth icon of West Africa. He received a Five-Star Mentor Award from WAVES International in 2012 for being an inspiration to the youth of Ghana.

In February 2014, Mr. Essien was given the Distinguished Leadership Excellence Award at the 3RD International Summit on African Leadership in Washington DC as a business Icon that has made Africa proud in the business world.

Isaac Oheneba Osei-Akoto for the past many years has been involved in the creation and establishment of Financial Institutions in Ghana, and the management of various companies both locally and internationally. Oheneba is an Entrepreneur with qualifications in Finance, Economics and Management Information Systems.

He has over fifteen years of experience in Treasury Management, Fundraising, Finance & Administration, Sales, Project Management, and Business Development. He has a considerable international exposure of best practices in these functional areas. Oheneba has been involved with Sales, Treasury Operations, and Technology Innovations for mobilizing micro savings.

Previously, Oheneba worked in Finance and Project Management, and managed major national development projects with funding from the World Bank, European Development Fund (EDF) and Department for International Development (DFID).He has a great deal of expertise in managing business startups and providing strategic direction.

He is a philanthropist with passion for children and youth, and a committed family man.

Mr. Kofi Bentil is a Lawyer, called to the Ghana Bar. He is also a Business Strategy Lecturer and Consultant, He has lectured in Ashesi University, and the University of Ghana Business School, he also holds many corporate training sessions each year in Business Strategy and Services Marketing and Management Skills.

Kofi is Vice President and Policy Analyst with Imani Ghana, voted among the top think tanks in Africa and one of the leading Think Tanks in Ghana. Kofi handles several areas including Energy policy, Education, and infrastructure with expertise. He is also Director of strategy for Mpedigree, A medical technology start up firm. He is currently working on a new company which will provide SMS payment solutions cross networks.

Kofi Bentil runs Bentil Consulting limited, a Business Strategy Consulting Firm, he has incubated several business ventures, he has also judged various Business Plan competitions including the Google ‘Believe Begin Become’ Competition, Ghana Government’s Private Sector Development Competitions.

In 2005 he was honored by the World Bank (and partners) with the Global Development Marketplace Award, an award recognizing contribution to and expertise in Entrepreneurship. In 2009 Kofi was inducted into the Africa Leadership Network, a wing of the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network.

Kofi Bentil is active in the technology industry, and was a Founding Executive Member of GASSCOM, The Ghana Association of IT Services Companies; http://www.gasscom.org/about-us/. He worked with many partners including the World Bank to improve I.T. infrastructure and Services in Ghana. He also taught Entrepreneurship at the Kofi Annan ICT Centre in Accra.

In his previous professional life Kofi Managed Marketing and Business Strategy for I.T. Companies and Ghana’s Second Largest Insurance company.

His professional interests range from Business Strategy, I.CT. and Project Management, He holds a B.A. in Geography and Resources Development, an MBA in Marketing and a second MBA in Think Tank Management, he also holds a Post Graduate LLB from the University of Ghana, and has taken various management and professional courses over his professional life.

Kofi writes for varied intentional media, on Governance and Policy Issues especially relating to Ghana and Africa. He has travelled widely and is a much sought after speaker locally and internationally. He is Married with children.

Acting Managing Director

Cynthia Odoi-Tenkorang, Acting Managing Director is responsible for guiding and monitoring the overall workflow of the organisation to ensure that all business goals are achieved. She is a Chartered Insurer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast. She was awarded the Best Student by Ghana Insurance College in 2008.

Cynthia aims to bring her professionalism and solid experience to bear by ensuring prudent underwriting and maximum satisfaction of clients. She comes into this role with close to fifteen years of experience having successfully established the micro-insurance arm of a reputable life insurance company in Ghana. She has also worked as the Registrar of the Ghana Insurance College, lecturing in Life Assurance.

Cynthia enjoys dancing and has a passion for social work.
