Mrs. Cynthia Odoi-Tenkorang
ACTING MANAGING DIRECTOR

Cynthia Odoi-Tenkorang, Acting Managing Director is responsible for guiding and monitoring the overall workflow of the organisation to ensure that all business goals are achieved. She is a Chartered Insurer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast. She was awarded the Best Student by Ghana Insurance College in 2008.


Cynthia aims to bring her professionalism and solid experience to bear by ensuring prudent underwriting and maximum satisfaction of clients. She comes into this role with close to fifteen years of experience having successfully established the micro-insurance arm of a reputable life insurance company in Ghana. She has also worked as the Registrar of the Ghana Insurance College, lecturing in Life Assurance.


Cynthia enjoys dancing and has a passion for social work.

 

Mr. Kofi Pianim
GENERAL MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Kofi Pianim, General Manager, Business Development is responsible for spearheading the company’s sales (both corporate and retail) as well as IT operations. Kofi holds an Executive MBA from GIMPA and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana. He also holds certificates in Networking Security and Microsoft SQL/RDBMS. He belongs to the Network of IT Professionals, Ghana.

His strategy is to fully integrate technology and innovation into the company’s operations to increase sales and provide excellent service to clients within record time with his specialised sales and technology skills. He comes into this position with over fifteen years of experience having successfully managed the successful execution of several projects including:-
• Telesales/ Telemarketing campaign in Ghana using a listholder and life assurance firms in Ghana and a call centre in South Africa
• Development of a working model for Starlife-Unibank Bancassurance
• Full automation of the operations of Starlife Assurance, Star Assurance and Unicredit
• (Team member for) Tax payers identification number automation project under the Public Financial Management Reform Program (PUFMARP)


Kofi loves listening to music, playing squash, swimming and travelling.

Mr. Emmanuel T. Nartey
CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER

Emmanuel Nartey, Chief Finance Officer is responsible for prudent management of the company’s finances. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast. He is specialised in the areas of Investment Management and Enterprise Risk Management.


Emmanuel’s interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills facilitate efficiency and effectiveness in playing his role of identifying and reporting accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders. He is the key decision-maker on how to invest the company’s income and is an integral part of the company’s financial future.
His key successes over the past five years include: -
• Establishment of an Internal Audit function and a Pensions Trust Company for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company
• Designing and launching a flexible choice investment portfolio for the Metropolitan Pensions Trust Scheme, a novelty in Ghana
• Implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management model for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Metropolitan Insurance Trust


Emmanuel is a cocoa farmer who experiences great delight in harvesting cocoa beans.

Mrs. Irene Asiedu
HEAD - HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMIN

Irene Asiedu, Head – Human Resources & Admin is responsible for overseeing the company’s human resources and administrative functions by developing and implementing people strategies to create a high performance culture. She also functions as the company’s Board Secretary.


Irene holds an Advanced Certificate in Strategic HR Management from the Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and an MBA (with specialisation in Human Resource Management) from the University of Ghana Business School. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).


Irene’s role at ESICH Life involves building an employee-oriented environment which will be the platform for an engaged and productive workforce. Her decade long experience includes playing the lead HR role in two international not-for-profit organisations (TechnoServe and Church World Service). Her stints in these international organisations have enabled her to acquire excellent organizational, cross cultural and communication skills.


Irene involves herself in child evangelism and charity work. She serves on the boards of three not-for-profits – Share Foundation, Socioserve and the Gaede Foundation.

 

 

Mr. Kingsley Ghansah
HEAD,PROJECTS

Kingsley Atta Ghansah, Head Executive Projects is responsible for acquiring and establishing new branches and satellite offices. He holds a diploma in Marketing and Business Management.


Kingsley has strong negotiation, sales and marketing skills. He has been instrumental in securing good locations for office space in each area where the company has considered establishing a presence. He also manages the Corporate Sales team in the Head Office. By dint of his hard work, the design and set-up of the Kumasi branch of ESICH Life is much talked about in life insurance circles in the Garden City.


Outside of work, Kingsley spends his time in the gym or travelling.
